I would like to hear from a US expat living in Cuenca. Life, cost of living, real estate, security and health care services. This will be a big move for me or for anyone and I would appreciate personal experiences and advise. Thanks

Nicaragua: Thinking of moving to Ecuador or Nicaragua.:

I am planning on moving to Cuenca Ecuador or Nicaragua. I have not visited either nations, but I hear that they are both very nice to retirees and your $$ goes far. I do not have a set date yet, but I will start visiting both in a near future to consider things like: quality of life, security, health care, real estate cost, and the culture/people. Please advise. Thanks.
