For 40 cents extra I would have enjoyed new scenery and chalked it up as a Colombian experience and avoided.an issue
I usually tip a little if the driver is pleasant and seems to try his best, same in restaurants, except corrientazos., never there.

There are bars and security on everything worth taking or breaking into in all of Latin America, Medellin included, and is not a negative. From strato 3 up in Colombia, bars and security and not leaving a vehicle unattended is understood.

Kudos to you Paradise Lost, I have enjoyed reading your posts on here, and see that you are not averse to asking tough questions when called for. I too had seen so many ColombiaGringo posts I assumed James was a legal professional, ie CPA or attorney.
