Advice for New Expats

Don't be affraid. A person who considers you anything other than a child of God is that which he considers you, whether it be idealistic, realistic, schitzophrenic, ADHD, unpatriotic, etc.. The pen is mightier than the sword.

I would love to live in...

in a peaceful world!

Brazil: dual citizenship:

why are their so many of you claiming dual citizenship If their are so many tax problems? isnt their 2 types of citizenship, one claiming citizenship and the other renouncing your original country. What are the pros and cons of each one?

Brazil: taxes:

I have a fiance that owns a business in Brazil and owes a large sum of "tax" money. Recently I read that business in brazil is not taxed. Who is correct, the brazilian woman who owns and owes taxes or did I misunderstand what I read?

Brazil: Taxes:

I do not want to sound arrogant or mean, but haven't you figured it out yet? America wants money period. And if you do not want to pay they will take it anyway. On top of that can you seriously say that you are not funneling money back to america??? tax free sounds good but you must become a Brazilian citizen or you'll end up in more red tape than most would care to go through. That is the easiest way. and the most honest.
