Australia: Just back from NYC...:
I just had a wonderful trip back in the U.S. New York seemed quite vibrant, despite all of the "happenings" of last year. I did talk to a couple of people that were affected by the tragedies, which is quite sad. It's funny how some people I've talked to outside of New York say that we need to move on, but how can you say that when those that lost loved ones have had barely a year to adjust to such an awful loss!
I had so many wonderful dinners in New York and had great fun with old friends. It is good to be back in Australia though! I will be traveling again soon, but I'm really enjoying Sydney after being away from it!
Anybody else feel this way after being out of your host country for a while?
Australia: Things to do in Sydney:
Hi!
I've recently moved to Sydney and I'm interested in seeing some sights and getting acquainted with this lovely city. Anyone have some favorites that they would like to share? I'm very interested in all kinds of music and museums. I've actually been quite surprised how different it is here than in the U.S., although I guess it does make sense, as it is a foreign country. I suppose that I assumed it would be a lot more similar since it is English speaking.
I'd love to hear some advice!
