Australia: Help with moving to Sydney area:

My family will be moving to Sydney at the end of Feb. 2012. My husband already visited Sydney to secure housing and he was unsuccessful. How can we secure housing without showing up at the inspections? We need a two or three bedroom house/apt that is furnished and a 12 month lease. Thank you for your help!! Liane

Philippines: Moving to Manila:

My family may be moving to Manila for 6 months for my husband's work. I have a 2 1/2 and 16 mo. old and I am wondering if this is a safe place? Can you recommend which city is best for children? Are there things to do with the children? We would be put up in a hotel, not an apt. so can you recommend a hotel? Anything else we should consider before moving? Should we get a nanny? I have so many questions and concers so any info. would be appreciated.
