Trinidad & Tobago: Monthly Living Expenses:

Not sure where the other person lives... My husband and live comparable to our lifestyle in the states. We pay $4000 US / month for rent. If you're looking for furnished its $4500 - $5000 month. We rent a car for $1000 / month which includes insurance Groceries are pretty expensive here about 3x what we pay in the states. However fuel, electricity and services are cheap. Good luck - if you're moving on an expat status your company should compensate you; otherwise, the island is very expensive to live.

Trinidad & Tobago: doing contract work in TNT?:

It is best to be here for only 3 weeks max of 30 days at a time for business. If staying this time frame you do not need a work permit. You can return as many times as you wish. If staying for work longer than 30 days then you need a work permit.
