Brazil: Home Schooling in Brazil Legal or Not?:
I moved my family to Brazil from Florida 3 years ago. We are all US citizens. I'm very disappointed with the private international school system in Brazil. We pay an incredible amount of money for our two children and feel they are falling way behind their cousins in the US, whom are in the same grade. I was researching a few American online home schooling options for US citizens living abroad and was planning to sign up at least my oldest in the online program. Some of my friends in Brazil advised me that it is illegal to home school your kids in Brazil. I figured someone in this community can best advised what my options are and if this law applies to foreigners leaving in Brazil with permanent work visa.
Brazil: Buying (US) and Taking a New Car to Brazil:
Is it possible to buy a new car in the US for export (exlcudes local taxes) and shipping it to Brazil with a work visa. Could I then clear the car through customs without paying taxes and get local Brazilian plates?
Brazil: Home Schooling in Brazil:
I'm moving to Campinas Brazil to work for a mid size company as an expat. I'm married and have 2 small children. The American school here incredibly expensive and was looking at the option of home schooling but my wife does not like the idea. I'm stuck. Any suggestions?
Brazil: need help from Native English Speakers living in Sáo Paulo:
supervicki: I like to learn some more about your pilot program. My wife and I are English speaking Americans moving to Alphaville SP in June. I will be on an expat assignment.
My wife won't be working but wanted to volunteer to teach English and Spanish as her native language is spanish.
