Hong Kong: expat dating sites:

Face up to your self created challenge! Which means find your friend and or girlfriend face to face. Meeting women is much easier then you think. You being an expat is much easier then being a local guy. You can easily meet women at coffee shops, book stores, clubs, bars or events. What are your hobbies> Ok then go join a place that will provide this hobby and that is where you can meet like minded women. You have to risk being rejected 500 times or more before you start becoming confident,

Hong Kong: Distance from HKIS to North Point area:

I would say no more than 12 minutes by Tram, MTR, Bus.

Hong Kong: Baby Items in Hong Kong:

Hello there, I am from Miami, Florida and i was a house dad for 15 yrs and for the last 3 years i have been living in Hong Kong. I have a 11 month old girl and compared to Miami it is much more difficult. Are you from New York City? If yes then you will find HK very similar but for me it has been very different. Baby medicine is very difficult to get or buy at all. Like baby Motrin or teething gel. Baby swimming diapers the reusable is very hard to find as well. Baby food and all the other stuff will be easy to find. Kinder garden and schools will be expensive. JW

Global Expat Forum: Chinese Parenting:

I do not think all Chinese parents are a like and not all can do what the author says she has been doing. The author from what i have read is a full time professor so that alone will take a lot of her time away from home. I have later read that she has help in the form of two nanny's so not every Chinese parent will have that luxury. Western parents well many i have seen do push their children hard for them to get great or perfect grades. In a general way of seeing things what i have noticed in Hong Kong is that most of the parents do not value emotions as much as results. I noticed also in Hong Kong parents and people in general dont ask questions or talk about emotions compared to back home in Florida. JW

Global Expat Forum: What do you miss the most?:

I miss Corn Nuts and USA Chinese food and Indian Buffets which in Miami cost 8 dollars all you can eat. JW

Hong Kong: very little happening in this forum - why?:

Well for one thing, you will need a good umbrella if you plan on living in Hong Kong. Also a nice phone and a mp3 player will help in the crowded traveling experience you will be having. JW

Global Expat Forum: Medical Question:

Im an expatriate in Asia. I have been living in Hong Kong and Singapore for the past 3 years. I had medical concerns such as dental and physical because i had many dental issues and i play a lot of sports. I did some research and i gave Pacific Prime a call and i got a workable and an affordable medical insurance plan. So, you maybe give them a call and see if they can help. Good luck, JW

Global Expat Forum: GOING TO GHANA:

Why you ask? I was planning on going to Cali.
