Philippines: Do You Trust Room Safes?:
I will be arriving in Fils next month for a long time with a lot of cash. I've never used room safes before anywhere. Do you trust room safes in general (in low end/ budget hotels) ?
Philippines: Potential to move to Puerto Galera:
from all I've read abt investing in Fils, there's 3 words to live by there. Don't Do It!
Philippines: Divemaster job for expats?:
In T-Land all the divemasters are expats. Could one get a job in Fils as a divemaster if you lived there? Wonder what it's pay? It'd be cool to get paid, even a little, to go diving seasonaly for free.
Philippines: Dumaguete Casinos?:
My online Pinay "friend" from Cebu tells me she just got a job offer to be a "waitress" at a casino in Dumaguete. I'm under no illusions that the job will only be waiting tables. But what casinos are in Duma? I cant find any. I must admit I am kinda worried for her as shes young and clueless. any links?
Philippines: your wife may be Filipina if::
off topic but i'll add my bit. (dedicated my my foreign x) "you may be a stripper if".....
you think foil was invented to blackout your rooms windows.
you pay for $100 worth of walmart food with ALL $1 bills.
you have an entire drawer full of long belly piercing jewelry.
you tip EVERYBODY at least 50%
you never finished hi-school but you earn a doctors wages
you glue no-slip stuff on the bottom of your heels.
you have to think before telling someone out of the club what your name is.
you don't get angry when some stranger smacks your ass in the mall or on the street
you spend more in a month on make-up than your whole family earns in a month back in your country.
theres more but I forget them.

Philippines: Mindanao. How dangerous are parts?:
I'd love to include it in my tour, BUT so many say "Don't go anywhere there" How dangerous is it really assuming I avoid the ARMM around Cotabato, and the Zamboanga Penninsula? As I said I'd love to see the remote east coast, and also the highlands around Malaybatay. And there seems, on Filipinocupid at least, an abundance of cute girls from Gensan, Cagayan de oro, and Ozamis areas. Advice?
Philippines: Motorcycle touring the fils backroads?:
I'm planning to come there soon, buy a Honda 125 dirtbike, kit it out with some racks/panniers/etc.., and spend 3-4 months riding all over many of the islands going hiking/climbing/scuba, andlooking for a nice place to retire and for a hot wife/GF.
Has anyone traveled along some of the remote roads such as along the east coast of Luzon? How about the east coast of Mindanao? Would that part be dangerous for a solo old white guy? How about Palawan? Any other cool backroad suggestions?
Then I'm thinking I'll leave the bike with some trustworthy expat for a year until I move there. Or sell it?
Nepal: What is Your Favorite Beach?:
my favorite Nepali beach is definitely BINDU PARIYAR from Pokhara, now in Dallas. Search on facebook, youtube, and google. Its the nicest beach in the whole country!
