Australia: moving to perth:

hello out there, im immigrating to perth australia, ive never been b4 i lived for a while in manly, sydney. could anyone give me some advice on the suburbs of the sunset coast, i want to live looking on to a beach. poss. fremantle,scarborough, sorrento. but i will have to trvel about the region as i am a building site manager.. im immigrating with my girlfriend and my best mate.. id like to know the basics, should i rent first, how much will it cost, what is the average price of beachfront property, is there much work about(im coming in august) look forward to any replies
