Can I add another question to your list in the event someone has an answer? I also have a three year old and he attends preschool two days a week in the US. Was wondering if there is a universal schedule for kids that age? Is it the norm that three year olds go five days a week all day long? Or do most do half day? Or is there flexibility? Thank you!

United Kingdom: Commute times to st. Johns wood:

Hello! Thank you again to gah for all your help with my initial queries. I have taken all your advice and researched much over the last few days. My husband and I have decided to focus our housing search to St. johns Wood, Marylebone, and Notting Hill. Since our kids are still small (kindergarten and first grade), wee don't want their bus ride to school to be very long. Which leads me to... What are approximate commute times from notting hill or marylebone to st. Johns wood? How is London traffic? Thanks in advance!

We are relocating next April, and I have started the daunting task of researching areas of the city where we may want to live. My husband's office is right in between the Blackfriars and City Thames Link stations, and we'd like to minimize his travel time. We are coming over with our three children (ages 6, 4, 2) -- the older ones will be attending private school. We do not wish to have a car. I have been looking at areas to the west - Kensington, Chelsea, Richmond. Anywhere else I should include in my search that I may be missing? We will be traveling over in a few months to preview the locations. Thank you in advance.
