Don't forget the South Africans - with the South African shop in Farmoor, just outside of Oxford, you'll find quite a substantial Southern African community.

South Africa: Is it really that bad in SA?:

Hi TracyB, Thanks for your encouraging response. We visit South Africa on a regular basis, mainly to Jo'burg where my husbands parents and sister are based. If we do head down south then we will be looking at Cape Town, mainly because my husbands brother and wife live there and we also feel the city has more to offer us. It seems that there's never a right time to make a move from one country to another. We moved to the UK from Holland nearly 2 years ago now, our stay in the UK was only meant to be for a year while we decided where we wanted to live. We now seem to be stuck in a rut. We both know we'd rather have the lifestyle of SA but we're just a little nervous about making the decision. One question... do you see yourself staying in South Africa indefinitely or are you there on an expat contract? Cheers, Myrica
