Kuwait: Moving Apartment in Kuwait:
Hi all,
I am supposed to move next week and I am still not sure which moving company to use for moving my furniture.
Any tips/advice?
Thanks
Kuwait: Yoga?:
Does anyone know where I can take yoga classes in Salmiya (or very close) after around 5:30pm?
Kuwait: Health tests / Hep B-C / HIV:
This may be annoying you, Seansky, but applying for residency in ANY country requires you to take all sorts of medical tests. I was never poked as much in my life and done all my blood, urine, breathing, whatever tests incl. chest xray etc then when applying for my residency for New Zealand. I think this is a norm everywhere.
If I go as a tourist to New Zealand - they don't make me go through all the tests, of course. I think it has more to do with health care than "infecting" the residents of the country.
Kuwait: How do you keep up to date with events and entertainment in Kuwait:
I seem to find out about stuff AFTER it is all over.
Is there a website where they list all the events going on in kuwait such as car racing, camel racing, exhibitions, etc.?
Kuwait: Dependency Visa, Family, G22:
Can anyone tell me if it is true that aperson on a G22 dependency visa must travel with her husband at all times and will not be allowed to exist or enter Kuwait without her husband? (or apparently she must have a permission??)
We are having a bit of a discussion here and cannot find anything on the internet!
Kuwait: Scrapbooking shop in Kuwait?:
I could only find a small amount of stuff available in Marina Mall (mainly Hallmark albums, etc.)
Are there any other shops that sell scrapbooking albums and materials?
Thanks!
Kuwait: Digital Photography Courses in Kuwait?:
Does anyone know if there are Digital Photography Courses offered in Kuwait. I couldn't find anything on the Internet?
Thanks!
Kuwait: Marriage Requirements:
It is much easier if you ARE married.
I have been living here for 3 years now and we have been occassionally asked for a marriage certificate. (like when we wanted to check into a hotel for New Year's Eve, when we moved to a different apartment building, when I gave birth to my baby, etc.) But it wasn't like "show the marriage certificate or you will be dead"
Some people tell me they have made a fake marriage certificate, but not sure if this is true.
I don't mean to be preaching - but you have been together for 9 years!!! - what's the problem with doing the "formal thing"? Coming to Kuwait could be a good catalyst to finally make the next step!
Kuwait: Marriage in Kuwait:
Do you actually have a specific man you want to marry or you just want to mary A Kuwaiti man?
If you do know him, then I suppose you would have discussed all that with him in advance, if you don't trust him (which is probably why you are posting this) then don't marry him, just like you hopefully wouldn't marry any other man you can't fully trust.
I don't think it is about whether he is Kuwaiti or not - you can marry the wrong guy anywhere.
I don't know anyone who had major problems being married to a Kuwaiti but I do have a friend whose Kuwaiti husband died and who had such a wonderful marriage that she chose to stay in this country with all her good memories. She is getting widows allowance from the govrnement and she kept the house and her husband's posessions and on top of that her Kuwaiti in-laws are still there for her although they didn't even have kids. (and he died 5 years ago)
So you get good and bed everywhere. Only you can know whether you should marry this man or not.
