Panama: thinking about moving to panama city panama:
We like living in Panamá City. However, we live in Costa del Este, not in the main part of the city. There are a string of "suburbs" heading from the city toward the airport and Costa del Este is the first.
Traffic in the main part of the city is crazy sometimes, but by living here (and working here and having our kids' school here) we only deal with city traffic when we want, and we avoid peak times. There are stores and restaurants close to our apartment.
So I recommend Panamá City just pick a calmer neighborhood like Costa del Este, Costa Sur, Ciudad Radial, etc.
Panama: Maid / Nanny:
I have a good maid / nanny, but several of my new-to-Panama friends need one. One family only speaks English, but the other is bilingual. Both pay well. Anyone have a reference?
Panama: Small Children, Dual Career:
We have a 4 and 6 year old and may come to Panama with a dual career. We need full-day care for the kids, which could include some amount of time at home with an English-speaking nanny. What are the hours of the international schools in Panama, and what are our chances of finding an English-speaking nanny / helper?
