How long a visitor visa last. Whet one has to do to stay 4-6 months in thailand. I heard you go to Mynamar and come back and then can stay another 90 days. Please share experience

India: Can an expat bartend in Goa?:

I would not depend upon any employment income anywhere is India. Unempployment is high. Visitors visa people can not work anyway. You can live cheapely in goa. Seek out some bed & breakfast places. Seek out other expat. Do not trust locals

India: Moving to Egypat:

be careful if you are paying for training. It could be all hoax. Ask them to provide you with another non-Indian student who was placed by them.Also talk to the company who hired that student. There are legit emplyment companies, but you never know. Indian laws will not protect you

Are you talking about non resident for tax purposes. I am also US citizen and with OCI card, I think a trip to nepal may qualify to remain non resident. TAX ANGLE: There is this grey area also. Can any one comment on taxaability of foreign pension income if individual stays more than the "non resident definition" of tax code. I was told that if income did not accrue in or thru India, then it is non taxable. But, who knows waht a Babu will do.

India: Duration of time one can spend in India:

hi shantipal I have same issue. I was in India for 6 months and had to come back. I am applying for OCI card and that can eliminate the 2 month requirement. But 6 month limit still applies. May be a short trip to Nepal with OCI card may help. What do you think about taxability of US pension in India

try seven sea company from california, you will also need transfer of residence from govt of india if your move is not temp to avoid custom. Is your move business or personal. There could be other tax related issues down the road. I was once planning to move permamnently but had to shelve my plan. girish kumar
