Costa Rica: Drivers licence renewel:

Costa Rica: New rules at Paso Canoas:

I went to the border monday to check out of CR and check into Panama.Panama immigration now wants every U.S. citizen to present a plane ticket out of Panama to the U.S.They used to accept a bus ticket that is no longer the case.I have heard you can print an e ticket before paying for the ticket and present that.Has anyone tried this and what was there expierence? This is really bad for all of us that dont have residency. Thanks

Panama: New rules at Paso Canoas to enter Panama:

Yesterday went to the border at Paso Canoas to re enter Panama. They now want every US citizen to present a plane ticket to the U.S.A. a statement from your credit card company and you must show $500 in cash to enter Panama. This is a major problem for us expats that dont have our residency. This is effecting expats living in CR and Panama. I have heard you can download a plane ticket on the internet before paying and present that?Has anyone tried this approach?Would like to hear from others on this subject. Thanks.

Costa Rica: driving to panama:

what documents are required to drive your costa rican car to panama at paso canoas?

Panama: taking your car out of panama:

Hi, Some friends of mine just returned from the border. They wanted to drive thier car with Panama Tags across the border. They were told that they needed to have residency to do this.I have taken my car many times across the border and was never required to have residency.Has something new been added to the rules?

Mexico: shipping personal goods:

Im thinking of moving to the Quadalajara area and living on a tourist visa for the time being. My questions is can you still ship personal items into Mexico without residency?Im currently living in Panama.I am an American citizen.I dont know if that would complicate things or not.

Panama: 90 day visa change ?:

I just read this on another expat group. This guy came in at tocuman airport and was told he had now 180 days instead of 90 days.He said the official told him the law was just changed.Has anyone else heard of this change?I find this hard to believe as I just came back yesterday from La Frontiera and herd nothing like that.

Mexico: border crossing which one?:

Hi, I'm thinking of relocating to the Guadalajara area and staying on a tourist visa for a while. When i need to renew the visa which border crossing would be the closest, and easiest to do?It would be great to hear the expierences of others who do this.
