I do live in Colombo and have a view out over the ocean, lt's very nice but my favourites are Nilaveli just outside Trincomalee and Alankuda in Kalpitiya. Miles & miles of sandy beaches and almost nobody on them, great seafood and very reasonable - perfection

Hi, yes I am interested and would certainly buy online, looking for good cheeses, pates, cold cooked meats such as quality ham, parma ham, salami, chorizo and also good raw meat such as steaks, lamb, duck etc.

Sri Lanka: Expat looking for friends:

Hi, I am an expat male 50 running a small business here in SL & also Thailand. Been here about a year and feelng a bit lonely. Not looking for a relationship just a nice friend, or some nice friends for a drink and a good chat. Love good food and have been exploring the restaurants but it's not so great on your own. Also like to cook and entertain. I travel around the country quite a lot and would be happy for some company on those trips. Age/sex immaterial but good humour is a must, you need it here!!

Sri Lanka: Relocate to Srilanka?:

Hi Inakshi, I am 50 y/o male expat been here a year. You need a resident's visa if you want to stay more than 30 days, you need to apply via your local SL embassy before you get here and then get it endorsed when you are here, it will give you a year but I think you can extend it while you are here. Plenty of accommodation of all types & budgets available but I suggest get a short term place say 1 month and then look at lots & lots of places as they vary from stunning to dreadful and price is not the only criteria. Finding friends is hard but isn't that the same everywhere. Good luck, if you want to meet up when you get here let me know.

Hi, I am new to EE. Have been visiting SL on business for many years now just starting to live out here around 40/50% of my time. Anyone know of any social clubs, associations for expats or anyone who would like to meet up for a drink and a chat. Interested to know more about socialising in Colombo and travelling around SL maybe in groups.
