I need help finding lodging long term three months, less if I can't afford it.
Globtrekker tv show said local people also let out a room for extra income, but does anyone know of a newspaper or board where I can advertise that I'm looking for a place to rent. I'm flexible and very easy going. Going December or January to March.
thanks,

I wrote PLN and Polish person instead of Slovakian because I've been trying to find cost of living in comparable cities to estimate my costs in Bratislava and I'm exhausted and mistyped.

Huge thanks to anyone who can help with cost of living numbers.
I have read that it is difficult to live on 1300 Euros. I will be staying for 4 years and living on a modest income.
What does the average person spend on food from the market each month (not including restaurants). I spend a little over 200 Euro in the states but web sites say 350 and higher.
What is reasonable average rent in Warsaw? I don't need a luxury apartment nor does it have to be in a special location; I'm flexible.
Also I read that giving English lessons outside the classroom pays 50 to 100 PLN and this can't be right.
Thanks for any help with real numbers.

Hope someone can help me sort this out: I'm hoping to move to Bratislava soon to live for four years. Have a work visa, but I'm working for a few months on the content of an interactive creative website (unpaid until the project is done).
I have a small monthly income and savings but need to budget reasonably. I have read that living on 1300 Euro is difficult. I also read on this site that private English lessons are from 50 to 100 PLN (2007). That sounds crazy. I am finding loads of misinformation on the web.
I know how to live on a careful budget but don't want to suffer.
I would be very greatfull to hear what the average Polish person spends on food (not including restaurants), and rent not too far from the center. I have a son who will attend the expensive international school. I don't need a luxury apartment. The numbers I've read on some web sites just don't seem right.
Huge thanks to anyone with suggestions of a place to rent and cost of living on a modest income.

Hi Donnett, I don't know if you will get this message but I was wondering about the web site you mentioned. Did you move to Eastern Europe? Good Luck
