Belize: retirement 2012:

Hi, My name is Patricia. My husband, David and I are coming to Belize at Christmas to see if we are right to Belize and if Belize is right for us. We are very excited and have been reading most anything we can find about Belize. But feel that there is more we can learn from others who have recently made the move. We aren't sure what area we want to live in. At this time we think it would be either Ambergris Caye, Caye Caulker or Corozal. I know that the Cayes cost of living is more than Corozal. One question I have is if you live in the Corozal area would you need a car? If so that would drive the cost of living up. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. At this point I am unsure what I need to be investagating and what questions to ask. Thanks for your time!

Belize: Tips:

We have read almost anything online we can about Belize, but find that when researching a topic, it important to get imput from people who have experienced the subject and are not advertising/ have a gain involved. Either way, I think it's far more exciting to visit with someone who has actually had the experience you are researching, than to simply rely on facts from a web site. I have gotten to responses to my inquiry and found both very helpful. It was very exciting to actually hear from others who have already experienced the adventure. I welcome any and all info and exeperiences the expats would like to share on the subject of Belize. Thanks for being here!
