France: 35 hours in Paris:

hey everyone! :) ill be having a 35-hour layover in Paris towards the end of December. I want to make the most out of my short stay there. Any suggestions of places not to miss? Also, I want to experience the party/clubbing scene in the city. Any ideas where to go for an outsider?

Saudi Arabia: exploring jeddah:

hi everyone! :) i've been working in jeddah for 3 months now but i haven't really explored the city. i have met new friends at work but we seldom get the same schedule so it's hard for me to get around just by myself. i'm looking for a group/club that i can join so i could have anything close to a normal "social life" while i'm here. Also, Christmas season and the New Year are almost here and I won't be able to go home; so it would be nice to have some people I can celebrate with.

Saudi Arabia: HOW DO I FIND SINGLE FEMALES IN JEDDAH?:

i believe a lot of male and female expats who are single in jeddah (and most parts of KSA) share the same sentiments that you have. the culture here doesnt make it any easier for us to lead a "normal" social life as compared to anywhere else in the world. i can say that i have a similar dilemma as yours. not necessarily finding a single male, but finding people i can hang out with when i'm free from work. i guess your best bet would be to attend private parties or go to private beaches on weekends where you can mingle with other people outside the vicinity of your residence. Christmas season is just around the corner, maybe you can invite friends of friends and host a little gathering? That would be a great way to meet new people :)
