United Kingdom: ACS vs. TASIS schools:
As perhaps the only person who's ever been a member of the admissions committees for both The American School in England (TASIS) and the ACS International Schools (ACS), I believe both schools accept and impressively educate young people who are good school citizens with academic promise. While the ACS Cobham campus and TASIS are very different in size, facilities, and "feel" (of TASIS' uniform dress code), in more than 20 years I've found no verifiable evidence suggesting one school is more academically rigorous than the other. In fact, over time their exam outcomes are similar. And if admission to one's first-choice university is the benchmark, then again you've two high-quality schools from which to choose. My advice? Go with the school where your children will thrive. I think you'll know that school when you see it, assuming you're visiting while classes are in session. Best of luck as both schools often have waiting lists.
Qatar: London's ACS International Schools to open Doha campus:
My colleagues and I would like to survey Doha-based expats to assess demand for a high-quality K-12 international school. Please suggest groups/forums to reach out to. Thank you.
