Laos: retirement:

is it easier and cheaper to retire in laos than Thailand,and could I survive on an English state pension?? thanks..ps.i am married to a thai girl.

i will retire in 2016 and as i have visited thailand every year since 1990 i always planned to retire there,but now because thailand is getting more expensive i am now considering laos.is there anyone out there who has done both and can give me any tips or info.thanks
