Nepal: 1-2 Bedroom Flat needed (Thamel area):

Sorry to rain on your parade, but my wife and I own a house in Lalitpur, and we rent our one bedroom downstairs flat for around a little less than this a month, and this is outside the Ring Road. You might be able to share a bathroom with someone for 150$ a month, within walking distance of Thamel. I think that a one bedroom furnished for yourself in the vicinity of at least 250, or at least 20,000 NR a month.

Nepal: Everest Base Camp - Feb 2011:

Not sure what other people have told you, but I am co-owner of a trekking company, and I cannot recommend the trek at that time of the year. EBC will be very cold - well below zero. Winter snows are still a distinct possibility, along with avalanches and blizzards. You'd better be well prepared for bitter cold and potentially hazardous conditions - if you are a beginner I would wait until April or May.

Nepal: House in Rent in Kathmandu.:

We have a house for rent in Kushunti, Lalitpur - three bedrooms, two baths, living room, dining area, balconies and view of the Himalaya - 25,000 rupees a month (around 350$).
