Saudi Arabia: Customs / personal belongings,:

Hi everyone, I am in the process of packing our personal belongings for the move to join my husband in Riyadh. It is quite a scary task packing things when you are unsure if they will make it into the Kingdom or not. Does anyone have any experience in taking their personal belongings into the Kingdom and encountering problems with customs. Some of the questions that I have are: - Are there any taxes or duties payable on the goods we take in if they are personal possessions ie tv, dvd player, toys, bicycles, crockery etc; - What happens if something is deemed not suitable to enter the Kingdom ie a game, a picture, a cd, a dvd - do they confiscate it or are you made to pay a fine I hope there is someone out there that could share their experiences with me and hopefully put my mind at rest. Hi all, I am new to this group and would appreciate feedback from anyone out in Jeddah who have children at one of the area schools. I am looking to find out the fees for schooling 3 children in different grades / standards. Would also appreciate information as to how fees are paid (i.e. monthly / per term / per year etc). Would also like to know if there are discounts if more than one child of same family enrols. The details of the children are :- 1. A girl aged 5 - starting 1st year of primary; 2. A boy aged 12 - starting 1st year of secondary / high school; and 3. A boy aged 14.- going into 3rd year of secondary / high school. Thanks in advance for your help. Regards, Paula
