Australia: over 50 advice for defacto spouse:

I'm looking to migrate to Australia to live with my girlfriend of 8 years...we've been doing the back/forth thing i.e. her to here and now we want to be there. I'm 58 (age seems to matter in the visa arena). any advice on how to proceed would be much appreciated. She is already in Australia. We're hoping to make the move by end of this year. thanks
