Bahamas: 5 guys in mid-twenties relocating to Bahamas:

Hello fellow expats (or prospective expats), On Tuesday, my friends and I are flying to Nassau, and will set up camp in a hotel for a week. In this time, we will have to figure out some issues. 1. Banking - What banks are recommended? What is required in order for an American to open up an account? 2. Neighborhood We will not have a car, so: Where can we find a safe 5-6 bedroom home or two 2-3 bedroom homes near each other? What areas offer proximity (walking distance) to food, stores, beach at a decently-priced rent? ($2,000-4,000 range) What areas have high population of expats? It would be nice to know we could easily meet other American/European expats. Who can speak for Freeport or Port Lucaya? Is it worth it to check out these areas for less touristy environment?
