Costa Rica: perpetual tourist?:

Hello, We are very close to our move to Costa Rica, and we have bought one way tickts to San Jose. My question is, to prove that we have an exit plan, do we need to buy refundable one way tickets back to the States, then cancel them within 24 hours? This has been very stressful and confusing!

Costa Rica: Poison Toads , very sick or dead dogs:

What dosage of atropine? Mg per kilo of body weight?

Costa Rica: Cell phones:

We plan to just use a Magic Jack phone - my co-worker uses one to call relatives in the Philippines from the States, and says it is cheap & works well. We plan to buy a laptop to use Skype to talk with grandchildren face to face.

Costa Rica: How does CR Post know a box contains medicine?:

Yes, I have wondered the same thing!

Costa Rica: Living in a Grecia:

We found Atenas to be way too hot for us when we visited last May/June. Grecia was cooler.

Costa Rica: Vet Intern / Dog & Cat Rescue in Puerto Jimenez!:

What town is this rescue located?

Costa Rica: Where to move in Central Valley???:

When we visited Costa Rica, it is very true that the sidewalks are bad/nonexistent. There are also no warning barriers up where holes are in the pavement, etc. - a nightmare for anyone with mobility issues or very young children who could fall down a hole in the sideswalk or side of the street! Walking surfaces are uneven, but my husband ^ I used trekkinhg poles, which were very helpful on hillsides or uneven footing. Costa Rica is NOT handicapped accessible by any means.

Belize: Belize versus Costa Rica:

Hello! we have visited Costa Rica, and plan to move there within 2 years. Can anyone compare Costa Rica with Belize as far as retirement? The main drawback to Belize for us is the incidence of hurricanes. Is there an area that is least likely hit? We need a cooler mountain type climate, not hot beach weather requiring air conditioning. Wildlife is also important to us.Any comparisons would be greatly appreciated.

Costa Rica: Posts disappearing?:

I would like to ask a question, please. I read some of the posts here, but frequently just hit the delete button because of all the crazy posts and fighting that goes on here! So...I would appreciate a respectable answer. Can anyone give me a few comparisons between living in San Ramon versus Puriscal? we prefer the cooler mountain areas, and have decided between these two towns. Our main objective is to enjoy/observe nature & animals, and volunteer in animal rescue &/or spay/neuter. Thank you.

Costa Rica: Question about health care!:

Yes, I agree. This webpage consists of alot of complaining/mean-spirited comments/misinformation quite often!
