Nicaragua: Electrician cost to wire home:

I built my second house here in San Juan del Sur last year and personally installed the plumbing and electrical rough ins. The tubing (conduits) are installed in the columns and vigas, later you come back and "pull" the wire instead of hacking chases in your finished wall and then repairing the mess. Sounds like you might need a GC.

Nicaragua: relocation evaluation:

There should be no problem accomplishing what you want to do here in the San Juan del Sur area. I am a builder/home owner who just got my residency and have lived in the area 5 years now. If you want to know more, pm me for email address.

Nicaragua: Required limit on stay in Nicaragua?:

Renewing your visa is where you will need a bus ticket. Doing the visa run through Costa Rica, will require you to produce a ticket exiting CR (bus, plane). Bus ticket is good for a year and is reusable (for immigrating) the period dated on the ticket. $25.00. Or you can go to any Migration office in Nicaragua and for a price have an extension made of your visa.

Costa Rica: bmx bicycles:

Some of the airlines have special boxes and rates for bicycles. On my first trip down, there was a bmx competition in Liberia one Sunday afternoon,. There's a large number of people in that area who ride. Also check Ride Nature on Facebook.

I like Mundo de Amor in Tola, Rivas, Nicaragua. Mother and daughter team take care of about 37 orphans. Best bet is to bring cash and give it in person. Lots of worthy causes, lots of unworthy causes . Just be cautious (*:

Nicaragua: Visiting and posible buy:

I am a builder and live on the ocean front about 100ft above sea level which is above the tsunami and mosquito level also. El Remanso is about 10 minutes south of San Juan del Sur and less than one hour south of the new airport being built at Guacalito. If you are considering this area be sure to contact me and I will show you around.

Nicaragua: banking:

The only bank that would give me an account with only passport status was Banco Lafise. I was told to bring in three things including my passport. The next day I returned with the items and was told now we need five more items, including last years IRS tax return. This proved difficult but I got it. Before returning, I thought what what else could they possibly ask for? So I gathered a few more things and what swung the deal was a copy of my house rental lease ((+:... Try Lafise and have your ducks in a row.

Nicaragua: building costs:

I tend to agree with elduende. If you want to build and rent while you are away then that will subsidize your costs. I am building on the Oceanfront in Playa Remanso (SJdS) and am going to sublet part of the building. If you would like to know more pm me and we can go to FB messenger.
