Hello everyone, I'm a local I'm on here because I have furnished apartment renting and also some town houses in the mandeville area soon to be completed and put on the market (just stating my purpose here if anyone is wondering). I came across this post and I'm hurt as well as disappointed in the things Lala718 says about Jamaica. Nothing happens here that doesn't happen in other countries. Please bare in mind that our culture is different for that of other countries and so dancehall is a great part of our culture. As it relates to work tourism is definitely the fasted kind of job here. You may consider opening your own business as bring something new or different is well sought after here. Also if you can invest in a restaurant something that does other dishes other than Jamaican dishes would be great business. Goodluck to all wishing to move here hope you find happiness wherever on tha island you choose to stay. And please ignore the negative things being said about my country it is not all bad and kids r not all in need of counselling. Lots of counsellors are here. And Lala718 not everyone here has to wash other people's dirty clothes to send their kids to school, I believe domestic work is performed worldwide. Goodluck again everyone

Hi tweenyb, What area in jamaica do u plan to migrate to? Its best when moving to JA if you know locals who and assist and advice you on whatever you want to know about. Word of advice agencies are expensive. Its best to visit first and have a personal research done and then moving will be alot easier. Best Wishes to all looking to move here.
