Argentina: Looking for a job:

Given the complete lack of information about your qualifications, what about selling shoe strings on a street corner? Read your own post and consider which advice you could give based on the total lack of information.

Argentina: Help please:

In Argentina there are about 10 percent unemployed, a little better in Uruguay and much worse i Paraguay. Young people survive because they live with their extended families (grandparents and parents plus their own siblings). Beside the unemployed some 30 percent of the economy is "black". At least 95 percent of these people have Spanish as their mother tongue. Guess what that means for your chances to get a job that can keep you alive. You need money for at least 6 months, preferably for a whole year.

Argentina: Apartment in Mendoza - Lujan de Cuyo:

Hej Niels, har du penge med hjemmefra til dit ophold? I vinhøsten vil du måske, ved hårdt arbejde, kunne tjene til e eller to uger husleje, hvis du er en erfaren høster, Som TomP skriver, vil Mendoza, eller muligvis San Rafael være et bedre valg end Lujan. Hi Niels, Are you bringing the money needed for your stay? During the grape harvest, working hard and being an experienced harvester, you may be able to earn one or two weeks of rent. As TomP writes. Mendoza - or possibly San Rafael - be better choices than Lujan. Argentina: Banking and Houses:

Forget the bank account, you'll probably not be able to open one while in Argentina, which is not the US. You ask "How much are houses in Pesos over there?" Well, how much is a house in dollars over there? Try to read your post as if it was written by a foreigner asking advice about New York - anything missing?

Argentina: unfurnished apartment:

The rental law says 2 years lease. It's normally possible to extend it by one year at a time. A list of sites exposebuenosaires.com/buenos-aires-apartment-rental-resources/ What You Need to Know About Long Term Apartments for Rent in Buenos Aires http://exposebuenosaires.com/what-you-need-to-know-about-long-term-apartments-for-rent-in-buenos-aires/ If the reason you want to rent unfurnished is that you intend to move your own furniture through customs in Argentina, you'll need a furnished apartment for 3 or 4 years while you wait and hope your stuff hasn't been stolen; you'll also need lots of money to pay the cust. oms and the mafia. If you "250-350" is lbs of pure gold, then yes, if it is any currency from planet Earth, then no. Expect the cheap end two room in Palermo to cost around 210 000 Zimbabwe dollars, app twice your suggestion if that's in US$.

Argentina: Import in Argentina:

Very few companies in Argentina answer emails. Answering an email means assuming responsibility, which only the few select Argentines will do voluntarily. For the same reason do not trust any agreements made on the phone. Try to send them a paper letter or - better, but difficult - find a trustworthy representative in Argentina.

Argentina: Moving soon:

You are very welcome, Romaroast. I know a nice park, where you can collect good grass for your matress and wher you can sleep under a bridge. I can also show you a couple of good streets to beg in, when you have realized, that you can't find a job, because you don't speak castellano fluently. What on Earrth gives you the idea that you can just move to Argentina and pick up the gold they undubitablyuse to pave the streats?

Argentina: Moving to Argentina:

mariomesquita, I think you'll get better answers, if you give us a brief overview of what your research has told you. I assume that by "this summer" you mean "this winter" (eg. August), if not, you are almost a year early.

Argentina: January in BA:

Ted, why would you move to Argentina? To those of us who live here, it seems to be either a little late, or premature, as Argentina today is as expensive as - or even more than - the US and Northern Europe. Cheers, St.John

Argentina: Furniture:

Are you searching furniture stores in Argentina "From: Thailand"? It ain't the first of April today.
