France: France School Information:

Hi can anyone help me do France have any kind of school lists giving info on pass rates and general standards....as we have ofsted tables?? I don't know where to turn as I will rent a place in Montpellier dependant on where there is a good state primary shool. any advice welcome...

hi.. I'm considering moving to Montpellier ...are you taliking about crime rates are high in these areas?? there is a magazine Le Point that has done research on towns in France and ranked them....however its all in french and hard for me to understand...its on the net it may be useful.

France: need advice desperately:

Hi, I am moving to Montpellier from the UK in the next few months.I have 2 girls aged 6 and 8 and we are not French speaking.(as yet )Does anyone have any information on state schools in this area that provide any extra support for foreign children. We aren't sure where to live in Montpellier ...it may be dependant on where a suitable school is...any general advice on areas would be fantastic. Also any info on English speaking clubs etc would be useful. Thanks

Portugal: relocation worries:

I am coming to live in Lisbon with my 2 girls aged 4 &6 and my husband. We will both initially be teaching English (hopefully). As a mum I am worried about a million things.....schools...health......language....etc Is there any general advice anyone can give me?? I would like to make friends with any expats or locals and settle in quickly!!! At the moment I go to Yoga /meditation classes..........anyone know if there will be any English speaking classes in Lisbon?????or is this a long shot!!!! Thanks Mohan
