Jamaica: TRN:

TRN is similar to a SS# in the USA, you will need it to open bank accounts, set up light bill a/c' etc.. I applied online and picked it up at the Jamaica Tax Collection Office in Browns Town - St Anns. I'm not to sure how long it took to process, as I did it way in advance before going to Jamaica. Have you tried calling the tax office where you originally was going to pick it up from? (just in case they received it and never re-directed it).

I once shipped my very large clock from USA to Jamaica and never again, it cost a fortune to get it out of customs. Also remember Jamaica runs on a different electrical cycle.
