Ivory Coast: Ivorian culture:

Hi everyone, I'm dating a Ivorian male who seems wonderful! It's been a year and I fully trust him and we are planning to move to the Ivory Coast in the next couple years. I'm concerned because of the comments about their families being so involved in the relationships and marriages. I know most of his family lives in the village but, it still concerns me. Is there any insight anyone can give me about what to expect and the culture there. I'm having a hard time finding anything about everyday life and culture. Thanks, Robin
