Jamaica: Shipping Items to Jamaica:
Hello to be honest with you I think the best think to ship to Jamaica is a barrel with foodstuff, your TV,maybe your fridge and a washing machine.
I say shipping a car to JA is just not worth it. It is just too expensive to get container and all that. Most times you have to get separate containers for car and furniture. If you are attached to your car I would say get unattached. It is going to cost you just too much. I ship barrels all the time because I have a lot of people in need that I am always sending mostly foodstuff to. I have also ship TV but no other pieces of furniture.
My sister was telling me that one of her church sister who migrated to Jamaica shipped everything down and she regret it so much. The car alone to ship to JA was $7000 and that was just for the container to ship the car alone she had to get another container for $6000 for furniture and nix nax. To clear the car is another kettle of fish so to speak. Its best to find out what you are getting yourself into in terms of shipping stuff to JA.
PM me if you need more info I have 2 companies that I ship with all the time. Best of luck.

Jamaica: Giving Back To Jamaica:
Hello I have a lot of stuff that I would like to donate to Jamaica. I need some help from the Jamaican Government to take these things down there and give them away. I want to take them and distribute them myself in that way I know the people who need it will get it. Do anyone have any idea how I can get some help to bring these things into Jamaica without it costing me an arm and leg. If I don't get some help I will have to give the stuff away here because it will cost me too much when I get there to clear it.
Jamaica: To ship or not to ship?:
Where r u shipping from. I pretty much ship everything to Ja from the US much cheaper than buying it there. U can get a whole set of about 5 different appliances for your kitchen for about $1500 here in the US when they have it on sale that's more than a bargain. In Ja one fridge alone will cost u a arm and leg so to speak. I would definitely bring a fridge and a stove.
Jamaica: Anyone planning or moved to Jamaica:
I am planning to move there when I retire. I was planning on buying one of those gated community houses in St. Ann. My friends told me that the country is not a good pick for retiring but I am not listening to them because they are not living there. Any suggestion anyone has would be greatly appreciated.
