Hi Milo, I just moved from Colombia with all my stuff to Jburg, had a very bad experience since they stole and damaged some of my belongings...but fortunately they did pay for all that was insured - I used international agents, but they used local agents and my stuff sit in a warehouse over Christmas, so they had the time to select what they wanted as presents for Christmas- I will recommend you to contact Elliot International (www.elliot.co.za) they did helped me a lot thru the process as the agents in charge of my stuff or The MI Group which are an even bigger company. You need to take the time to itemized everything and assign monetary value, keep copies of all documents they asked you to fill in, and if you have the time, do your own inventory, for those little things you just throw in (i.e. 10 jeans, 20 tshirts)... South Africa: Relocating to SA:

My process is done, I'm flying in finally Friday! To all I just want to let you know South Africa got very high standars as in qualifications to obtain the rights to work for expats, I highly recommend reading all SAQA and ECSA requirements, I am not sure if because I am a Colombian engineer, but my advice...make sure to have all your original documents in hand, if not in English translated by an official translator, if possible talk to local immigration agents and they will provide with all you need. It took me mo than 2 months, the time difference, distance, didn't help much. Always use certified courier services when sending your documents. I could gladly say I am on my way to South Africa in less than 100 hours!! Can't wait...good luck to all, i could provide with more information if require about my process. Let me know!

Hi, I am moving from Colombia to Johannesburg, and looking for some information regarding all type of Holidays in SA, I was very disappointed when they said Halloween is not a big event (it's my favorite time of the year) but well...
