Laos: laos dangerous for shakedown?:

Im a man interested in living in laos but i am concerned about the sense of fairness of a country that--from what i have read--has a law where it is illegal, outside of marriage ? for a man and lao woman to even be in the same room together--or rather to be having sexual relations--but as i said--it has been said that the police just presume that and demand money etc. Any light from anyone? regarding this?

Korea: poor boy wants to live in korea:

hello-- i have 1100 u.s. a month plus plan to teach english part time in korea. Part time as im in not so good health--maybe 15 hours a week. thing is i would like to live in a low stress--good climate--as good as i can get--heat is bad--somewhere in korea--preferably near the water. Any advice on where and what to do? Seems the key money and all that is the major obstacle--but beyond rent i guess cheap vegetables at farmers market is do-able? I am guessing i would have top live in a small town but prefer outside a nicer city. Thanks very much steve
