Panama: More crime at the beaches:
I am also thinking of retiring to Panama. We are going to be at the beaches the end of March. I agree one must put all things in perspective. If you listen to the news here in Florida you always hear about the break ins and shootings. It does not happen to everyone . My point is that no matter where you go crime will be there. and you must make sure you are aware of your surroundings.
Panama: Shipping Household Items:
We also checked in to shipping. We found a 20 foot container was about $8000.00 and a forty foot container was about $10,000.00 from Florida. That was door to door. The company was North American out of Daytona. Checked a few others and they were similar.

Costa Rica: CR living:
I am from Palm Coast Fl. I am not selling anything. I have visited Pacific Lots and it is a class act and a great area. We are also looking south of Jaco out of the tourist area. My email address is jpascucci1@cfl.rr.com if you want to compare notes. Johnny1950
Panama: Crime in coronado:
Just wanted to wish Robinskelton a happy and healthy New Year. Look forward to seeing you the end of February or begining of March. Crime is the same in a lot of places. If you flaunt valuables or live a better life style you will be a target.

Panama: Rent a car in Boquete?:
Hi
We rented at the David Airport. There are several there. Boquete is beautiful with water falls etc. The piano resturant is excellent. Great ambiance and food. Good luck with your trip.

Panama: Berlitz school:
I am taking the Pimsleur course it is on disks and is very good for conversation. So far it is working well for me. I would rate it over Rosetta Stone which I have also tried. I am not connected with them just passing it along.

Costa Rica: Taking a shuttle from A to B:
Did you think of renting a car. I have been to Costa Rica three times and will be moving there in march. All three times I rented a 4 wheel drive vehicle and drove all over the country. It was a very pleasant experince. I used Vamos rent a car and their service was fantastic. Speak to Tizziana there. They include a cell for emergencies and a GPS. The GPS is necessary for warning of narrow bridges and tourist areas. It will also keep you on track and prevent you from getting lost. I have no business connections in Costa Rica so I am not selling anything. Good luck

Costa Rica: SCHOOLS in Costa Rica...need advice:
I am not a resident. I have been to Costa Rica three times and never had a problem or felt any of the things she is talking about. I will be moving there in March or April for good. I have been to the dentist there and found her to be exceptional. She was more caring and professional then I found in the states. The name of the dentist is Premier Dental in Jaco. Dr. Nunez. Everyone that I had dealings with were very helpful and honest. I know there may be some bad areas like anywhere but I traveled from Tamarindo to Panama and never had a moments worry.
