Panama: Need a custom agent:
I want to move some precious metals (only) and need a custom agent that lives in David Area, who speaks good English and is reliable
Panama: EXCELENT READ: Panama is Still the Easiest Place to Obtain Residency [Until This Happens…]:
I found this on silverdoctors.com, here is the link
http://www.silverdoctors.com/panama-is-still-the-easiest-place-to-obtain-residency-until-this-happens/
its the 26 comments at the end of the article posted by some expats that post here that tell a lot - seldom if ever have I seen the truth as they state it in this article on this site.
Panama: Name Calling:
MaryAnnR- you remind me of a person who moves into a neighborhood and immediately tends to start a fight with the neighbors. I read your posts you started with PanamaJames from the get go.
Bluewind said it right “You don't have to be a man or use name-calling to be a bully. Maybe some people need to go back and re-read post from other people, than see who is doing what. He remembers user 802mark
GlamBabe (bullying??????????)
"Whackos" and “Panama is great. Just get rid of the burrs up your butt and get positive about things.”
WHAT ARE YOU IMPLYING HERE – wait till a local calls you loco. Or says “deshacerse de las rebabas en el culo” because of you GRINGO attitude.
I know PanamaJames personally; he helped me to settle in Panama, he does not have a nasty bone in his body. Most likely Jim would give you the shirt off his back if he thought he could help you, but nobody likes to be pushed around they will push the back eventually.

If you come to Volcan you could look me up and I would be happy to talk with you. I have lived in Panama 14 years and speak fluent Spanish. We have a rural property just outside of town and have chickens, a cow, geese, etc. My wife and kids are Panamanians. Actually so am I as I just recently was naturalized.
I have tried contacting you on 2/24 (private message) and 3/12 posting Contacting Volcan357 – have yet to get an answer
What does rural property just outside of town mean, could you be more specific with your name and some directions. I will be in Volcan next week
Panama: Contacting Volcan357:
will be in Volcan within the next 2 weeks would like to meet you. how can we make arrangements to meet
Panama: The future of the dollar in Panama:
Panama James mentions a possible global currency reset. The when /if can't be predicted yet most economists/money types (I use that term lightly) claim it will start in the first to second quarter of 2014 and the petrodollar will devalue possibly by 50% of where it is now.
Bitcoin is a scam (it’s not backed by anything except emotion). Gold and silver are insurance only against Fiat monies. You would have to wait until all settles down and then convert your gold or silver into whatever becomes the new currency.
The Balboa will more than likely survive, unknown whether it will follow the dollar as to the devaluation. I tend to think it will be good to have a local bank account just so you can get some Balboas when and if this happens. Opening a bank account means you have to own property in Panama. volcan357 posted a very interesting article about gardening not too long ago, this means you can grow your own food and barter with other folks to survive no matter what happens to the economies. Your safehaven for your dollars is your land.
As to finding this land panamarelocationtours brings up some great questions yet you seemed to have answered these questions when you said Boquete or Volcan. I chose Volcan and am in the process of setting everything up at present. Volcan357 lives in Volcan and he would be a good point of contact. Also if Jim takes you to Volcan on a tour, ask him to point out my location.
Panama: Looking for great Realtor in Panama who finds great deals, not Gringo prices:
Your term gringo expresses an attitude. I went through a gringo to gringo sale in Volcan and I am happy to say I used Baru real estate, and if it wasn't for Laura Pedreschi [laura@barurealty.com] the sale would never have taken place. Are you aware that to legally sell your property in Panama you will wind up paying an extra 10% cost factor (5% to Panama itself, lawyers, the real estate commissions, and water charges). If your lawyer/their lawyer are in disagreement you will inherit a lot of problems, I went through at least two lawyers and if it wasn't for Laura's guidance and help it would have cost me a lot more money. Another item you should be aware of the real estate has to have their Panamanian real estate license posted on the wall be careful you are not dealing with a gringo/Panamanian trying to make a fast dollar. By the way there is a book that tells lawyers what they can and can't charge, I suggest you ask to see this book before you start looking. My current lawyer in David is a third-generation lawyer well thought of. Also be aware you will have to form a Corporation to protect your purchase (it costs me $1000 just to do this).------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am friendly with PanamaJames he has told me in Boquete you can get a fire sale, there are many gringos that are forced to sell and move back to gringo land for one reason or another------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ there are 46 microclimates in Panama have you made up your mind what you desire and where (Volcan and Boquete are 45 min. from each other and offer an eternal spring like climate, Volcan is a more laid-back farming area, whereas Boquete is more a North American community) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- the cost factor of multiple trips, housing rentals and car rentals can be very expensive while you search.

What is happening with the National Bank of Panama taking a bank holiday (remember Cypress)
Panama: General Economics Question:
Panamajames and panamaguy are contributors that are being helpful to this question.
It seems this site tends to welcome a lot of opinionated people with 2 brains (one brain is lost and the other is out looking for it). Fox, NBC, CNN speak half truths they are there to incite the Dem/Rep in people (you know make your mind busy with the ??? ). This site is to help people considering Panama.
As to Veterans Administration, there is a rep in David (note the DAV are considered lawyers that help veterans). How can you post on a subject you don’t know what you are talking about? I received great care after a stoke.
As to the dollar, Gold, and sliver plus controversial opinions go to websites
http://www.silverdoctors.com/ and http://www.brotherjohnf.com/
find out what Jim Willie and Jim Sinclair are saying.
Educate yourself before you contribute falsely and convolute a good question.
Panama: How about Volcan? (from those actually living there):
to get a feel for Volcan, visit the Baru Realty and talk with Laura - she's a great person and sold me my property
