Where are some nice places to visit for weekends away not far from Cape Town as don't want to spend all weekend driving. Please include weekends with kids and also for 2.

Hi Want to move to Cape Town in February 2112 from Perth Australia and want to know about work and whatever anyone can tell me 1. As a Construction/Builder through study in Australia would this be recognized in SA so I could continue working in same field of work? And is there much work in the building industry, most residential construction. 2. Have been in a relationship for three years and she has children so makes sense for me to be the one to move considering children and her Ex Husbands relationship with his children. Is this Visa possible under Life Partner? 3. I understand some of the places of higher crime and find that most people I have met are great. I have stayed in Mitnerton Cape Town and want to know about possible investment areas that have high growth. EG as a developer/builder buying and renovations interest me as a possible means of being self employed Does anyone know if its worth bring white goods (fridges) and furniture, and personal items. What cost for container EX Pats from Australia that live in Cape Town also would help Thank You

South Africa: Relocating to SA:

I am thinking about moving to SA (Cape Town) Can anyone inform me of the cost of living/ house prices, rent and best place to live. I was told that JH has more work the CP but Cape Town is a safer place to live. I also want to know about employment in the building construction industry as am a builder in Perth. Do my qualification meet SA standards? Thanks for your help
