Colombia: Cashing COP hospital refund check in US:

I was exploring Medellin, broke knee and following surgery, flew home for rehab period. Problem is, I left clinic on NYE, banks were closed until after my flight departed early AM on Jan 2. I have a refund check only available in COP. (Clinic wouldn't refund deposit to credit card) Anyone have any idea where I should start the search for a bank to cash it here in US?
