Panama: Driving a car into Panama:

I own my car here in El Salvador. I will be moving to Panama for work and was wanting to know if it would be possible to bring my car? When I first arrive there I will not have residency but will be getting it hopefully within the first 6 months. I have lived in Panama before so I understand how crazy things are. If I just drive it in as a tourist will it be that big of a problem later when I do try to register it? I have had friends just suggest just to get it in then finds some Panama plates to put on it but I don't want to do any thing illegal like that. Anyone have any experience with this?

Hi all! I am planning on coming to the Tigo music fest next month in GC at the national stadium and was wondering if anyone had any sugestions for a place to stay. Are the areas around the stadium safe or are there some better parts of town to stay? I will be with my girlfriend. Any cool hostels or hotels anyone would recomend?
