Costa Rica: U.S. long term care insurance use in C.R.?:
Are there any long term care insurance policies from the U.S. that can be used in C.R.? How does one answer an American financial advisor who strongly recommends buying this coverage, even though we anticipate living in C.R. if/when we'd actually need to use the benefits? Does anyone here have advice about this? (We're healthy 50-somethings now.) Thanks!
Costa Rica: Teaching english in costa rica near nosara, tamarindo, samara:
The TEFL/TESOL certification is required, which I'm getting. I've heard that the best way to get one of these jobs is have the cert in hand & apply in person (vs trying to arrange from N America). Does anyone know if this is true? I want to come to CR to teach English near a beach, too!

I am considering a move to Puerto Viejo within the next year. What is an average rent for a 2-bedroom apt or house & do you know of opportunities to teach English? I am getting my Teaching English as a Foreign Language certification soon. Thank you!
