Mexico: Any good campgrounds or sightseeing recommendations for traveling down the west coast?:

Looking to find places to camp along the coast with children (entire coast)...also, any good recommendations on sites worth seeing would be appreciated too. No 'rich gringo' tourist traps...not our style (or budget), but safety for our family is. We would love to see some ancient Aztec/Mayan ruins...any worth stopping for (or even exist) on the West side? They all appear to be to the East.

Nicaragua: A few detailed questions about what is/what is not available in Nicaragua:

Do people can food (preserve in jars) down there? I know storing up for winter is obviously not needed but there are still some foods (like relishes) that I would still like to preserve regardless where I am. Are canning jars/lids readily available or even heard of down there? Should I bring my own? How about natural products such as... *Natural/herbal medicine (herbal tinctures, dried medicinal herbs, etc.) *natural health/beauty products (make-up, soaps/shampoos, etc.) How about natural laundry soap, dish soap, cleaners, etc? If so, do you pay a small fortune for them? I'm not hung up on 'Organic certification' but I don't react well to half the chemical garbage they but in everyday products up here in the states. Anybody ever heard of stevia down there (natural sweetener)? Green tea / herbal teas? Just wondering if I should start stocking up on a few of these things. Thank you, any info is much appreciated! :)
