Sweden: I was refused a swedish work permit...:
I was wondering why Europe and the EU would rather have refugees in Europe legally and Canadians just to visit...Its frustrating how Canadians have a tough time staying in Europe legally. Why is that? I know of only a few and they had huge companys taking care of this for them, unlikly for me right now....
Canada: Why don't more Europeans want Canadians?:
Please don't misunderstand me here, I am not an angry person, but I just don't get why Europe does not want to take in More Canadians who expres a desire to move ther, blend in,learn the language, and contribute. I was just refused a Swedish work permt, and also a swiss one. I just don't get it! Now that the cold war years are gone more Canadians are finding europe very attractive, and Many canadiansd are -hypenated Canadians, who lost their claim to European citizenship by being born here. I am one of those. I realley feel frusterated. I also just thought that I could be put on a 'black list' of some one who was already refused. Can anybody help me any suggest is very welcome.
Global Expat Forum: Why is it so difficult?:
Sorry to sound like a malcontent here but why is it so difficult to relocate to Europe after your European parents/Grandparents have come to Canada,USA,Astrailia,ect...Its not fair. Especially Canadians, seem to have trouble, Even the UK doesn't seem to want them. I realley feel in a bind. I can speak German,am Ethnically german but I don't qualify for refugee status, so they figure why let you stay in Europe? I just feel that Canada has taken in so many people I would figure that other countries would allow suitable people to emmigrate , I don't work for a big international company, and have little money, but I ahve skills and would try to fit in. WHAT IS THE PROBLEM? Can anybody give some practical advice on finding some way to stay for a lonf time? Much appreciated. e-mail-nathan_f_1999@yahoo.com
Netherlands: Moving from Canada to Netherlands//Help or Info?:
How did you mange to pull that off? Good for you! I have a question, Does the Netherlands favor Canadians in their Immigration policies? I was just wondering because since the cold war ended many Canadians are trying to move to europe, and they seem welcome as visitors, but not as immigrants. why? Also do you know f any countries in europe excet UK that Canadians have an easey time? I just got refused a swedish work permit, and am very disapointed. I just have no idea what to do. My grand parnets were German Hungarian immigrants who were welcomed by Canada, now their grand son wants to move to europe and it seems so difficult. can you help? thank you. nathan_f_1999@yahoo.com
Greece: English-Speaking Community:
"Most people nowadays speak english' sad isn't it?
Especially since you are living in GREECE,eh? Would it not be more practical (and respectful) to speak GREEK in GREECE? Just a suggestion.....good luck.
Austria: Work Permit in Vienna:
I know what you mean....Austria is difficult. I will be going there in the spring and trying to get ajob. I do know that Austrian employers quite often preffer illegal workers because the law there says that all employers must pay health insurice for their employees. So working illegally has advantages there. Fines are stiff, so you would have to work out a plan to cover your butt (and his) maybe go to a border and renter as a tourist.
