Algeria: Marriage and Moving to Algeria:

My advise would be be careful before you come to Algeria. Its very tough and difficult here to get a job and survive for a woman. Also enquire thoroughly about everything as as the guy is a cop then getting residence is not a big thing he can manage. And its not against the law to marry a foreigner but a non Muslim yes its forbidden.

Hi buying a car in Algeria is easy buy please see the procedure for getting the driving licence in Algeria. Without getting driving licence u cannot buy the car here . Any way Renault is the best car for the Algerian roads and is bit expensive. You can visit maruthi showroom in Oran as they have opened a new office in oran and are going to import 50,000 cars for this financial year so and are cheap also . Please check the rates and also inform me the prices

Yes its hard to live here but as said in french "c'est la vie" thats life in Algeria........

Hi Gajendra Kumar, You are welcome to Oran, would like to answer your quarries as requested by you. 1. Life in algeria is very cool and slow , you will not find much roming around like u do in Qatar. In a way its very good for a couple to live but with children its difficult as there is no english scooling and not much entertaintment for the children to play and learn things.Society is mixed between the French and Islamic . local langauage is French and Arabic its extremely cold in winters and its 2 deg now and summers not more than 30deg 2.Medical facilities are not so bad but for regular medical faciliteis its ok for specilised ones need to go to France etc. It is not advisable to do big surgeries etc here but the doctors are good and studied in France. 3. It is safe to live in Oran its a very good place to live better than Arzew so please check with your company to get a place in Oran. And also ask company to take care of medical as it is costly. Rest all is fine u can give me your contact no if u need any advice will call u i am too an Indian living in Arzew. Sorfert is a good company and u can enjoy living in Algeria.

First of all without Arabic and French its very difficult to get a job and communicate. Very few people know English. As ur with Algerian associate there should not be any problem in staying in Algeria. Things are very slow and not very easy to get . Best is u can startup some business in here with your partner. Things dont work as easily here as in UK or any advanced country.
