Panama: New requirement when leaving Panama:

I could not find this article. ??

Panama: waiting for David flight:

I once arrived at 12am for a 2am flight. Security was not allowing people to lie down and sleep, nothing was open so I could not buy water (TSA took mine), the water fountains did not work, and the gate security just made a mess of my carry on and even dropped my laptop. Hopefully it has changed from 2 years ago but better to be prepared in case of.....

Panama: Non-US residents, visitors/tourists, etc........any problems at the borders?:

No one I know has had any more problems than usual in the past month. At least 5 different nationalities and of varied colors from white to dark brown. And yes, I am a U.S. citizen, but not thin skinned or quick to anger.

Panama: Does carne de residente permanente have expiration date?:

The old carnet for permanent residents did not have an expiration date, But if your carnet is over 10 years old you need to get the cedula.

Panama: Customs & Immigration Question:

A person just buying a house or condo for themselves does not need a corporation. Corporations were promoted years ago and many people found out later they did not need one. Now they are stuck paying a lawyer every year for it.

Panama: Transporte Masivo De Panama - Mibus Fare:

The times are most likely not accurate. I have not tried using Google Maps for this but I will. I will only be able to confirm if bus routes I have used are correct.

Panama: Crime in PTY:

Every year, at this time, Panama is full of tourists. This year is no different. I would not doubt there is more theft because there always is more this time of year. How do I know? I live in an area surrounded by hotels and walk around a lot. I have lived in this area for 10 years. One travel agent? I would give this article zero credibility.

Panama: moving to Panama in 2 weeks!:

Twice I have come to Panama on a one way ticket. (2013 and 2016) Both times, I was told I could not board the plane without a return ticket to country of origin.

Panama: Panama modifies tourist visa:

Yes, that article was unclear. I suspect it was translated from Spanish maybe? I do sympathize with people who want to stay but can't. I did a few border hops many years ago when the rule was 30 days with one 30 day extension. But I did finally get all my paperwork finished for permanent residency after almost two years. (not pensionado)
