Jordan: a sad and disturbing story...:

Hello... I am an american woman who is planning on moving to Jordan this year. So, I have been doing some research and alot of reading about Jordan and the middle eastern culture. But, so little is ever written about Jordan on this site, I decided to do some reading about Egypt. Thinking I would find some helpful information. What I came upon was a very disturbing post written from a woman who teaches in Egypt and her bad experience there. The post is titled "Egypt Forum - I Wish I had Known... Before Moving to Egypt". And following here post are many comments who confirmed her bad experience. I have to confess I am very sad reading this news. I want my life in Jordan to be a wonderful one. Full of happiness, peace and adventure. I love the middle eastern culture. I would like to hear from American woman or men who live in Jordan or have lived there. Please tell me your experience with the culture and the people. Please be honest. I need a clear view and understanding of what others have experienced. Thank you.

Jordan: Moving to Jordan:

Hello, I am planning to move to Jordan in January 2013 from the United States to marry. I would like to live there permantley. How does one move to Jordan? Do I have to contact any government agencies to get permission? After my 30 day visa is expired how do I stay longer? I would appreciate any advice you can give me....
