Algeria: Safe place to live for an expat in Algeris:

Hello There are three main really safe areas for expats in Algiers: Hydra, El Biar, Dely Brahim. They're all safe because they're home to all the embassies that are in Algiers with Hydra being the safest. Cost of rent varies, depending on the location and the size of the house. You could get a nice villa in one of these places for 2000 euros per month, or you could a nice spacious apartment starting from 600 euros per month. It's all up to you, and the way you want to live here in Algiers. If you have any more questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Regards, Nabil

Algeria: Tour guide/Interpreter:

Hello I am offering my services as a tour guide for people who want to discover Algiers, I know a lot of good spots to enjoy your time in the city, especially for expats. I am Algerian, and I was raised in the UAE and I came back to Algeria a couple of years ago. Since then I tried to discover everything this place has to offer. In addition to that I also work as an interpreter and English teacher, I can provide several references if you ask for them. My prices are really reasonable. Message me for more details Nabil

Algeria: Transferring money out of the country (Inheritance):

It's illegal to transfer money out of Algerian soil, the only people who can do that are export/import agencies, and the government of course. It's sad really, but you can always contact the U.S embassy in Algiers they may be of some help!

Algeria: Moving in Algeria with my son:

Hello Vanessa, Moving to Algeria sometimes takes a while because of the paperwork that must be done, but it all depends on what you are planning to do here. Do you have a job offer here or any friends that could help you with the procedures? As for your son, you can register him in a kindergarten in which he will learn French and Arabic. If you need further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me. Regards, Nabil

Algeria: Good Area to live in Alger:

Baba Hassen, Hydra, Draria, Oued El Roman, El- Achour, Ain- Allah

Algeria: English school:

Hi Sally, The schools mentioned above are the only ones that provide an English based curriculum, but bear in mind that Al- Kalimat school is not approved by the state. It would better if you teach your kids French when they are still young, it would be more practical. That would allow you to subscribe them into the French School Alexandre Dumas in Ben Aknoun which is the best in the country along a couple of other French schools. Anyway I hope that you'll find a solution for your kids, good luck! Don't hesitate to contact me for any more additional details.

Algeria: Any English people out there!!!!????:

Hey mate, I know how you feeling, I used to feel the same for the first 2 years when I moved back here. I used to live in the UAE (Dubai) and when I came back, it was literally horrible. Algeria: I'm English and want to study in Bab Ezzouar University - Algeria:

Nothingelsetodo, studies here are alright, in Bab el Zouar at least. They study everything in French, but since you're going to study engineering that won't be a problem. Numbers speak an international language after all. When it comes to social life, it IS difficult to cope here. You need to cope with the mentality here, which is kind of hard. But nonetheless, if you need more help or information let me know on: nbenbouza@hotmail.com
