Australia: Estimated cost of moving from USA to Australia:

Hello, My family and I may be moving to Australia in the New year. We are trying to get some numbers together to create some sort of moving budget and determine finacial viability. I'm looking for a very broad estimate of moving cost from eg VA to NT. Household and some furniture, no car. Anybody done this or have any idea how much (ballpark)? We are not at the stage yet of getting quotes from companies and don't want to be bother by their never ceasing "follow up" calls.
