Sweden: Jonkoping:

Hi there My family and I are thinking about taking a year out and heading from Scotland to Sweden. We're still in the very early stages of planning and I'm planning on working whilst over there. We're thinking about going in 2 years time (summer 2014) and so far have kinda narrowed it down to Jonkoping although this is just provisional as we haven't been for a visit as yet. It appears to be a nice-sized town and from what we can see a decent place to raise the kids. I'm hoping to get a bit of advice here, mainly about work if possible. I currently work with adults with disabilities and would probably be looking to do something similar over there just because that's my background. Does anyone know what sort of provision there is for adults with disabilities and the type of job opportunities there are? I have been in touch with the Swedish job centre but they weren't hugely helpful. Also any advice on property would be appreciated - ideally we would be looking to rent a family home for a year, preferably with 3 bedrooms. We have been doing a bit of research but have struggled so far to see anything suitable, the vast majority appear to be holiday lets. Any pointers to websites/letting agents etc would be hugely appreciated. Any advice on anything really would be hugely appreciated. Graeme
